Consultant Solicitor
Donna was born and brought up in Fife, predominantly living in Dunfermline. She attended Dundee University where she was awarded a 2(1) Hons LLB degree and subsequently her post-graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
After leaving Dundee, Donna completed her training in Perth before then returning to Dunfermline to work in Dunfermline’s largest legal practice at the time, Macbeth Currie. Donna then worked in Edinburgh for a number of years as an Associate Solicitor with the Aberdeen based law firm, Ledingham & Chalmers before returning to Dunfermline to work in Morgans, where she was soon assumed as a Partner.
After a few years she decided to have a change of career and left the legal profession to become a Primary Teacher after having undertaken a one year conversion course at Dundee University. She thoroughly enjoyed it apart from the extensive hours of working outwith the classroom.
Having taken a few years off, she returned to the law assisting her husband during covid and subsequently covering maternity leaves. Donna now specialises in Executry work – helping families who have been bereaved to administer their estates and thereafter distribute same to their beneficiaries.
Outwith the law, Donna’s main hobby, horse riding, takes up most of her free time but she does try to keep fit by going to the gym a few times a week and destressing with weekly yoga classes. Her main hobby is looking after (pampering, Andrew would say) her horse, Dancer, another Pedigree Welsh Cob, and riding her whenever time and the weather permits.
