Andrew K. Price

Solicitor/Director

Andrew was brought up on a hill farm in South Wales where he played, rode horses, helped on the farm and did a bit of studying. Although he did not do particularly well at school he managed to read History and Politics at Edinburgh University having graduated with a 2.1 Honours in 1976.

For the next 4 years he worked with one of the Banks in Edinburgh and studied Law and Accountancy at night. He could not cope with Accountancy but enjoyed Law and decided to commit financial suicide by returning to Edinburgh University to undertake an accelerated Law Degree and compulsory Diploma in Legal Practice in 1980. On graduating in 1983 he commenced his 2 year traineeship with the prestigious Edinburgh Firm W & J Burness (now Burness Paull). Having completed his traineeship he decided to move out of the city and secured a position as a Solicitor with the highly respected Firm of Pagan Osborne in 1985. His son and daughter were born in 1986 and 1989 and he was assumed as a Partner in 1987. In 1992 he acquired the Kirkcaldy office business from Pagan Osborne and commenced practise on his own account.

Professionally, his time is spent advising various business clients, undertaking residential conveyancing, preparing wills/powers of attorney and providing advice on care cost mitigation. In addition, he is responsible for managing the business.

Outwith the office he enjoys horse riding (having acquired his handsome black pedigree Welsh cob in 2017), occasional hillwalking and running to the pub on Friday evenings! He also enjoys reading primarily historical autobiographies and biographies.

Alistair Morris

Alistair was born and brought up in Dunfermline before attending Aberdeen University where he obtained his law degree and subsequently his post-graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Alistair was determined to do more than simply study law during his time at University and amongst other things, he enrolled with the University Air Squadron where he learned to fly and now holds a private pilot’s licence.

After leaving University, Alistair returned to Fife to work as a trainee solicitor and was made a partner in Pagan Osborne at the age of 26. It was whilst working there that he first met Andrew.

Alistair has a broad range of both personal and business clients and now specialises in the purchase, sale, development and lease of commercial and residential property, particularly in the East Neuk of Fife.

He was a Law Society of Scotland Council Member for 24 years prior to becoming President of the Law Society of Scotland in 2014/15 and was appointed a member of the Judicial Appointments Board for four years from 2015. He is currently vice Chair of NHS Fife.

Donna Price

Consultant Solicitor

Donna was born and brought up in Fife, predominantly living in Dunfermline. She attended Dundee University where she was awarded a 2(1) Hons LLB degree and subsequently her post-graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.

After leaving Dundee, Donna completed her training in Perth before then returning to Dunfermline to work in Dunfermline’s largest legal practice at the time, Macbeth Currie. Donna then worked in Edinburgh for a number of years as an Associate Solicitor with the Aberdeen based law firm, Ledingham & Chalmers before returning to Dunfermline to work in Morgans, where she was soon assumed as a Partner.

After a few years she decided to have a change of career and left the legal profession to become a Primary Teacher after having undertaken a one year conversion course at Dundee University. She thoroughly enjoyed it apart from the extensive hours of working outwith the classroom.

Having taken a few years off, she returned to the law assisting her husband during covid and subsequently covering maternity leaves. Donna now specialises in Executry work – helping families who have been bereaved to administer their estates and thereafter distribute same to their beneficiaries.

Outwith the law, Donna’s main hobby, horse riding, takes up most of her free time but she does try to keep fit by going to the gym a few times a week and destressing with weekly yoga classes. Her main hobby is looking after (pampering, Andrew would say) her horse, Dancer, another Pedigree Welsh Cob, and riding her whenever time and the weather permits.

Siân Price

Solicitor/Director

Sian joined the firm in 2010 having obtained a 2(i) honours degree in Reproductive Biology at Edinburgh University and then having had a change of heart!

Rather than returning to university to study law, Sian decided to sit the Law Society of Scotland’s professional exams while undertaking a 3 year pre-diploma traineeship at the firm. This enabled Sian to get plenty of practical experience before returning to university to complete her postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at Dundee University in 2013-14. Upon completion of the Diploma Sian was awarded top student in both conveyancing and private client modules.

Sian completed her “post-diploma” traineeship in 2016 and now undertakes mainly conveyancing and private client work.

Sian lives in Kirkcaldy with her husband and their two young children. Outwith work, Sian is a typical busy mum and likes to spend most of her time with her family. She can often be spotted frantically running after her little boy at the local parks and beaches (and wrangling him out of the playpark when it’s time to leave)!

When the opportunity presents itself, she also enjoys sneaking out for a childfree dinner with her husband or a few cheeky cocktails with friends.

Jessica Gourlay

Accredited Paralegal

Jessica joined the team in 2024, coming from 9 years in another Fife firm where she completed her Paralegal accreditation. Her focus has remained on residential conveyancing during her time in the legal sector.

Jessica loves learning and trying new things which has resulted in her having 3 post graduate diplomas on top of her 2(i) Hons philosophy based degree from Bangor University. The days of intense academia are behind her now but you’ll often find her listening to a podcast or audio book on her latest fascination.

In her spare time Jessica enjoys spending time with friends and family – especially if it involves cocktails or good food. To recharge she reads, crafts and occasionally even manages some yoga.

Myra

Myra is our Cashier and has worked with us since 2006 having previously been a book-keeper at an independent electrical dealer. Myra handles all of the firm’s financial transactions including dealing with clients’ monies and more importantly, the staff salaries!

Outside of work Myra leads an active social life enjoying concerts, musical theatre, afternoon tea and spa days with her friends. To recover from all this Myra enjoys holidays in her tranquil haven of Carvoeiro in the Algarve. However, following the pandemic Myra and her fiancé Grant discovered they enjoy visiting parts of Scotland they’ve not ventured to before and particularly enjoy relaxing in a lodge in front of a log burner and having a soak in a hot tub with the obligatory prosecco after a day exploring.

Myra also enjoys unwinding at home with a nice meal watching favourite tv shows such as Masterchef and Strictly Come Dancing.
